Sounds great, the vocals remind me of Dicky Ochoa.

Hi to all here is my latest track done entirely on Auria from IPad 4:
http://snd.sc/Qt44aJ
The track name is: JANMA
Hope you enjoy. Please leave me your impressions with comment, always important to get feed back...
On my soundcloud (artist name: Ferann) you'll hear 2 more tracks made entirely on Auria but on IPad 2
"Breath under the water" and "tree of life".
I don't know why but the sound of my latest song (JANMA) is much more punchy than the 2 others made on IPad 2...
It is really amazing how the sound is powerful and without distortions on the IPad 4. To get that much punch from IPad 2 I was getting sound distortion. I asked to an Apple technician if the sound card was different form the 4 comparing with the 2 and he said that there was no sound card change BUT because of the processor speed with is 4 times better between IPad 2 and IPad 4 he said it could affect the plugins effects and make it work better. I must say there is a huge difference in a matter of PUNCH.
Please listen, enjoy and see the punch difference, it is obvious...
:D

Finally getting round to trying Auria on my new ipad4 in earnest. Wow what a revelation, so much less hassle than my previous recording rigs. I'm using a Focusrite 18i6 running on a battery pack too so the whole thing is totally portable. Wasn't sure what to record so did a version of Switchfoot's "This is home" which I enjoy playing. Just a stereo mic on guitar and ribbon on the voice. Very happy with the result although I missed some of the high notes

The song was recorded entirely on the Ipad3 with Auria. The drum loops were from drum loops HD and were sequenced in NanoStudio.Electric guitar and bass used the AmpKit app. For the acoustic guitars, I used the Apogee MiC.

Did some of the comps while lying in bed.. Now that's how to make music :D

Hi friends,
I have finished another song in Nanostudio and after mixdown, I spiced it up in Auria with a bit of ChannelStrip EQ and PSP WARMER (tape preset)

http://soundcloud.com/major-lee/groovy-town

After several tries, there are numerous ways to split work between Nanostudio and Auria. One can :

1) Compose in Nano then zeroing all effects on the tracks , export them and mix all in Auria (including levels and panning, EQ comp, limiting)

2) Compose and pan in Nanostudio (Edens preset often include x -varypanning), Then Mix (&EQ,comp, verb) the distinct tracks in Auria (Nano allows to export a project track by track in one time) >> This could be the best way because it prevents from repanning problems.

3) Compose pan and mix in Nanostudio (including EQ Comp and reverb) then mixdown and "master" the result track in Auria . (method used in today's track)

The last method is the quickest as one naturally mix and ajust Comp and EQ in Nanostudio while composing. It prevents from having to zero each track effects before exporting. On the wrong side, it minimizes the use of Auria and its great effects....Depends on your available time....

Best regards

Major Lee

Question to Auria's team : at what average level should i export from Nano (or import in Auria) each distinct tracks so that Auria's effects are used in the best way (i.e enough ceiling headroom)

The best way is to simply set the level of your tracks so they are hot but not distorting. As well, you can change the gain level of any waveform in Auria to give you a hotter track or not as hot as well. Digital Audio unlike analog allows for you to increase the waveform level without introducing additional noise, this is known as the noise floor, however remember that if the track contains noise than that too will be made hotter or simply put louder so it's a compromise sometimes so shoot for what sounds good and that usually puts you in a more natural mixing method. Cheers and hope this helps.

Getting the hang of using Auria here. This is made using a combination of iOS apps, bass recorded with a Strymon delay pedal through apogee Jam interface, and coins sampled with an AT2020 mic (using iRig Pre).

Other apps used: Jamup, Alchemy, Nanostudio,

Here's drift: an ambient/post rock sort of song
